1. Who We Are

This website is operated by Sringaram Handloom Textiles Pvt Ltd (trading as Sringaram Luxury Sarees), having its operational and registered establishment at Heritage Weaving Enclave, Cochin, Kerala, India.

For the purposes of applicable Indian data protection laws, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (as relevant provisions take effect), we act as the Data Fiduciary responsible for personal data provided when purchasing from our atelier.

2. Our Loginless Architecture

Sringaram operates on a modern guest-first, loginless architecture. We do not require you to create a customer account, choose passwords, or maintain permanent online profiles to purchase from us.

When you place an order, our system creates a secure order record associated with a private cryptographic tracking capability token. This allows you to track transit progress, request support, and manage cancellations directly through your private order link or via mobile verification on our Order Lookup Page without ever needing an account login.

3. Information We Collect

We only collect personal information that you voluntarily provide and that is strictly necessary to process, deliver, and support your purchase:

  • Contact Details: Full name, mobile telephone number (for delivery SMS and courier coordination), and email address (for digital order confirmation and invoice delivery).
  • Delivery Details: House/flat number, street address, landmark, town/city, state, and PIN code.
  • Order Items & Invoicing: Products selected, sizes, quantities, order subtotal, applied discounts, GST calculation, and delivery fees.
  • Customer Inquiries: Any styling preferences, customization notes, or support requests communicated via our concierge channels or WhatsApp.

4. Payment Information & Security

Sringaram does not store, process, or have access to your full credit card numbers, debit card numbers, CVV codes, UPI PINs, or net banking passwords.

All online payments are processed through Razorpay, a PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant and Reserve Bank of India (RBI) authorized payment aggregator. When you enter payment details at checkout, your transaction data is encrypted and transmitted directly to Razorpay over TLS 1.3 encryption.

Sringaram receives only a secure authorization token, payment status confirmation (e.g., successful or failed), payment method category (e.g., UPI, Card, NetBanking), and a gateway transaction reference number necessary for order verification and processing refunds.

5. How We Use Your Data

Your personal data is used solely for the following lawful and legitimate purposes:

  • Order Processing & Fulfillment: Reserving stock, packaging sarees, generating shipping manifests, and coordinating dispatch.
  • Courier Delivery: Transmitting consignee address and contact phone numbers to authorized logistics carriers for doorstep delivery.
  • Transactional Notifications: Sending order receipts, live parcel tracking links, and delivery milestone alerts.
  • Customer Concierge Support: Assisting you with styling advice, address updates, cancellations, or return inquiries.
  • Statutory & Tax Compliance: Generating GST tax invoices and maintaining statutory accounting records mandated under Indian tax laws.
  • Fraud & Abuse Prevention: Protecting our boutique and customers against payment fraud, unauthorized access, and malicious order placement.

We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal information with third-party advertisers or data brokers.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

We employ a minimal, privacy-centric approach to browser storage:

  • Browser Local Storage: Your shopping bag items (sringaram_cart) and saved wishlist (sringaram_wishlist) are stored locally within your own browser on your device. This data remains on your device and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser cache.
  • Essential Session Cookies: We use secure, HttpOnly session tokens solely to maintain your temporary guest checkout session, prevent CSRF attacks, and protect checkout integrity.

We do not run invasive cross-site behavioral tracking or third-party advertising cookies.

7. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We disclose customer information strictly to verified service partners necessary to complete your order:

  • Logistics & Courier Partners: Consignee name, delivery address, and phone number are shared with insured express carriers (e.g., Delhivery, Blue Dart, Speed Post) to execute doorstep parcel delivery and OTP delivery verification.
  • Payment Gateway: Transaction amounts and payment references are processed via Razorpay.
  • Government & Law Enforcement: Only where formally mandated by a valid judicial order, summons, or applicable statutory authority under Indian law.

8. Data Retention & Tax Obligations

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to satisfy the purposes for which it was collected:

  • Temporary Guest Sessions: Expire and are automatically purged from our database after 60 days of inactivity.
  • Statutory Order & Tax Invoices: Section 36 of the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Act, 2017 requires registered businesses to retain books of accounts, tax invoices, and transaction records for a minimum statutory period of 72 months (6 years) from the due date of furnishing the annual return for the relevant financial year. Consequently, order records cannot be deleted prior to this statutory period.

9. Your Rights & Privacy Requests

In accordance with applicable data protection principles, you have the right to:

  • Request confirmation of whether we hold personal data concerning you.
  • Request correction or updating of inaccurate delivery or contact details for open orders.
